The Center Director, the administrative and academic management of the Goethe-Haus Language Center, thank you for the trust you have placed in us by expressing your wish or choosing to enroll or re-enroll your son or daughter at our private Goethe-Haus Language Center.

A vision focused on the future and international openness

It is self-evident that foreign languages have become essential. They are an indispensable tool for acquiring knowledge, mastering skills, and communicating in the changing world of globalization.

Indeed, learning foreign languages is the bridge that opens the world and the future to tomorrow's generations; they are the passport required for any worthwhile education.

Today, simply knowing how to read and write is no longer enough. To be among those who take control of their future and choose to build their own destiny, one must master at least one foreign language.

This is the spirit that drives the entire team at the Goethe-Haus-Meknes Language Centre, an educational partner authorized by the Ministry of National Education under registration number 02/03 dated February 17, 2003.

The Goethe-Haus-Meknes Center is a language center whose primary mission and purpose are the learning, development, and improvement of foreign languages (German, English, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, and of course French) through a range of dynamic departments.

Our Center is made up of an experienced, qualified, dynamic, and motivated team of administrators, teachers, and employees. Most of our teachers are part-time instructors who also work in public educational institutions (state teachers).

Administrative Staff

The administrative staff, including the founding director, academic director, secretaries, and general supervisors, ensure the smooth running of classes and maintain good conduct and discipline.

Teaching Staff

All our teachers are carefully selected, experienced, qualified, and dynamic. They work in an environment characterized by mutual respect and cooperation.

Communication with Teachers & Academic Follow-up

For student follow-up, meeting with teachers is very important. For this reason, parent meetings with the academic team are organized periodically to inform parents about their child's academic situation at the institution and to help teachers better understand each child through discussions and dialogue with their parents. At the end of each semester, we provide an assessment of each student's progress and give parents a report card.

To better serve the parents of our students, we ask them to make an appointment with the administration for any desired meeting.

Course Formats

Teaching at the Goethe-Haus-Meknes Language Centre is offered in four formats: standard, intensive, super-intensive, or modular; classes are held on our premises. However, certain courses designed to meet specific needs are delivered outside the centre, within companies that invest in developing their employees' skills.

In general, learners are placed in homogeneous groups according to school level, age, and the results of the placement test (which assesses prior knowledge of the target language), which must be taken before enrollment at the Center.

Legal Status & Objectives

A private, autonomous institute authorized by the Ministry of National Education under No. 02/03 dated 17/02/2003. Its main objective is to provide learning and improve proficiency in major international languages, both orally and in writing.

The Goethe-Zertifikat A1: Start Deutsch 1 is a recognized international language examination that certifies basic language skills. It corresponds to the very first level (A1) of the six-level scale of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

What A1 level certifies:

Understand and use familiar, everyday expressions and very simple sentences.
Introduce yourself or someone else.
Ask a person simple questions about their identity, where they live, their relationships, or their possessions, and answer similar questions.
Communicate simply when the other person speaks slowly and clearly.

3 An official passport for your administrative and family procedures

Beyond personal and academic enrichment, this certificate has essential legal and administrative value.

Family reunification

The Goethe-Zertifikat A1 is explicitly required and accepted by the German Embassy in Rabat (as well as by other diplomatic missions) as legal proof of basic language skills required for a family reunification visa application.

Professional and study plans

It is also the essential first foundation for those wishing to begin vocational training (Ausbildung), undertake a language stay, or prepare for higher levels (A2, B1, B2) required for admission to German universities.

French

Primary to Higher Education

French Department

The French Department at Goethe-Haus-Meknes is organized into five closely integrated sectors, covering the linguistic and educational needs of learners from childhood to adulthood.

Primary School

This section welcomes children aged 6 to 12. The courses offered range from the fundamental learning of the French language (reading, writing, and speaking) to advanced learning through educational and theatrical workshops. Specific modules also prepare students for end-of-primary-school examinations and their transition to middle school.

Middle School

Designed for students aged 12 to 15, this section offers programs for academic catch-up, consolidation of acquired skills, and advanced learning. Specific preparation is also provided for students wishing to enter the Common Core classes in high school.

High School

Two main programs are offered to high school students:

Study of the literary works included in the Common Core curriculum.
Study of the literary works included in the first-year Baccalaureate curriculum (experimental sciences, technical, or literary streams).

Adult Sector

A rapidly growing sector, it welcomes a wide range of profiles: civil servants, students, adults returning to education, or anyone wishing to improve their French. Training ranges from beginner courses to advanced communication, linguistic and cultural improvement, as well as preparation for consular interviews for France and Canada.

In addition to its main sectors, the department regularly organizes specialized modules for students preparing for the French Baccalaureate, candidates for preparatory classes, as well as students in law, economics, and other university fields.

Intensive Summer Sessions

The Goethe-Haus-Meknes Centre concludes each academic year with two intensive sessions held in July and September. These courses are designed for learners of all levels (primary school, middle school, high school, and adults) and focus on the written and oral skills necessary for effective communication in French.
